Terms and Conditions
By booking or participating in a course with ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL (“ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL”) , you (“you”) agree to the below Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you make a booking on behalf of OTHER PARTICIPANTS, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept these Terms on behalf of the other participants in your party.

1) BOOKING OF A COURSE
Your booking is not considered definite and no contract will exist between you and ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL until we receive a payment from you.
Our courses are sold separately from accommodation and meals on-site. Once your application is accepted, we will ask you to pay the deposit for the course and separately, the deposit for the accommodation directly to our partner center (in the case that we offer an in-house course, if not, accommodation and meals will be free).
You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking and on the first day of the course.
Payment of the courses
The price is the exact amount to be received by us in Euros irrespective of fluctuations in currency and irrespective of any third party transfer charges. If you choose to pay by electronic transfer, please instruct your bank to charge all costs to you in order to avoid a shortfall in the amount that we receive.
The deposit of the courses can be either 30% of the total amount of the course or a fixed amount. Your participation is confirmed only when the deposit is received by us.
All deposits are non-refundable.
The full amount of the course is due 60 days before the start date of the course. If it is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel your participation and fill the space without any refund of the deposit you paid.
CANCELLATION BY YOU
You may cancel your booking by notifying ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel your participation to the course 60 days and more before the start date of the course, you will be refunded all payments except the deposit.
If you cancel your participation to the course between 60 days and 7 days before the start date of the course, only 50% of the total payment you have made will be refunded. In this case, the amount of the deposit is definitely lost. However, the other 20% of the total payment can be transferred as credit for another course in the following 12 months after the first day of the course you were supposed to attend.
If you cancel your participation to the course less than 7 days before the start date of the course, there will be no refund. In this case, the amount of the deposit is definitely lost. However, the other 70% of the total payment can be transferred as credit for another course in the following 12 months after the first day of the course you were supposed to attend.
CANCELLATION BY ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL
ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL may cancel a course up to 2 months before course start date for any reason including but not limited to: cancellation by course instructor(s), low participation in the course, illness, physical deterioration, weather, natural disaster, acts of terrorism, flight delays or cancellation, health conditions, medical, personal, family, work emergencies, change or mind.. If cancelled, ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL will refund 100% of the course price including the deposit in the best delays.
ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL may cancel a course at any time prior to departure due to Force Majeure (terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events) where it is not possible operate the planned course. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events, ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL will refund 100% of the course price less any unrecoverable costs.
ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
We encourage you to wait until the confirmation notification from ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL (at the latest 2 months prior to course start date) to book your flights and make expenses related to the course.
The additional purchase of travel insurance is highly recommended to provide the utmost protection for all students, and to prevent financial loss.
All travel arrangements are your responsibility and at you own cost. We shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations in any of the companies you may have made arrangements with, or for any irregularities in your documentation required for travel. Transfers to/from the course are at your own cost, unless otherwise specified.
Travel insurance is not compulsory however we highly encourage you to subscribe to one.
It should cover the activity of your retreat with us as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses and all the usual risks. You should bring the policy with you in case of an emergency.
It is your responsibility to let our teachers know if you have any injuries and to be mindful at all times of your own body’s capability during our courses. If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity during the retreat, then please stop participating immediately.
It is also your responsibility to consult a doctor with an understanding of yoga and fitness to check that you are sufficiently fit and healthy to undertake yoga classes and other physical activities that you may choose to do whilst on the course.
Please advise us of any mental or physical health conditions and dietary requirements before you book. If you have health conditions and dietary requirements that may be affected by the activities offered on our courses, we reserve the right, for your own wellbeing, to advise you to stop participating.
Whilst all measures are taken to ensure a high standard of health and safety, ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL shall not be responsible or liable for any injuries caused during the course at any moment.
We ask that women who are pregnant contact us before booking the course. If the application is accepted by us and the lead instructor of the course is comfortable teaching, we will ask for a letter from a doctor specifying that they are fit to travel and able to engage in the activities that we provide.
We are not liable for any injuries you may incur. Yoga and fitness classes are undertaken at your own risk. We are not liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions, which may develop during or subsequent to the course. We are not liable for loss of, or damage to, your personal property.
Amendments to the course
Occasionally, changes may have to be made (e.g., teacher, course content or other arrangements), which we reserve the right to do at any time. If your accommodation has to be changed, we will do our utmost to provide accommodation of a similar rating. We reserve the right to adapt the course content to the students attending the course.
PHOTO AND MARKETING
You agree that, while participating in any course, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grant a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL, its contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.

Participation in a course with certification from Yoga Alliance
“I understand that if I am paid in full and fulfill all the requirements of the course, including in-class hours, homework and final practice teaching, I will receive a diploma, within 3 months from the program end date, which can be submitted to the Yoga Alliance or a prospective employer as evidence that I have completed the certified course. Paying for the program and completing the hours alone does not mean I will pass the course.
I understand that ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL reserves the right at anytime to ask me to leave the training if the instructor feels that I pose a risk to the physical safety to the instructor or other students or if I am compromising the learning process of the group. Under such circumstances, I understand I will not be given any refund.
I understand that ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL reserves the right to ask me to leave the program if I am found plagiarizing, if my behavior is disruptive, inappropriate, negatively impacting other students learning, unethical or violates the Yoga Alliance ethical guidelines. Under such circumstances, I understand I will not be given any refund.”
REMINDER: Terms of Douar Noujoum, our partner accommodation center in Essaouira, Morocco.
Our courses are sold separately from accommodation and meals on-site at Douar Noujoum. Once your application is accepted, we will ask you to pay the deposit for the retreat and separately, the deposit for the accommodation directly to the Douar Noujoum.
The price is the exact amount to be received by Douar Noujoum in Euros irrespective of fluctuations in currency and irrespective of any third party transfer charges. If you choose to pay by electronic transfer, please instruct your bank to charge all costs to you in order to avoid a shortfall in the amount that they receive.
The terms and conditions of Douar Noujoum in Essaouira, Morocco are:
Deposit of 30% is required to book. The remaining balance is to be paid by Paypal or by credit card on-site on the first day or arrival.
Bookings are subject to availability. We will do our best to fit one of the two options you requested in your application but please keep in mind that if you apply late, there may not be all the accommodation options open for booking and we will let you know what is available.
More than 30 days before the start date of the course: 10% of the total amount of the booking will not be refunded.
Between 30 days and 7 days before the start date of the course: 30% of the total amount of the booking will not be refunded (equals the totality of the deposit). However, 20% can be transferred to another stay within 12 months from the start date of the course you were supposed to attend.
Between 7 days and the first day of the course, 60% of the total amount of the booking is due.
In the case of an interrupted stay, no refund will be provided.
2) PURCHASE OF AN ONLINE COURSE
Downloadable product purchases made on www.ayuyogaschool.com are non-refundable. In the case where a purchase error is made please write to firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss a resolution.
Note: This refund policy is in place due to the nature of downloadable products, meaning that once the product has been downloaded there is no way of returning it.
The product can be downloaded only once to prevent abuses.
The rights of the online course are only to ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL and you are not allowed to share nor send the online course downloaded to someone else. The online course is for your own viewing only.
Any personal information that is collected by ĀYU YOGA SCHOOL about you may be used for any purpose associated with the operation of a course or to send you marketing material in relation to our courses and special offers. The information may be disclosed to our agents, service providers or other suppliers to enable us to operate the Retreat.
The information contained in this Site is for general guidance on matters of interest only. Given the changing nature of laws, rules and regulations, and the inherent hazards of electronic communication, there may be delays, omissions or inaccuracies in information contained in this Site.
